Ms. Karshmer has practiced exclusively in the area of Indian law for more than thirty-five years and has extensive Indian law experience. Since 1975, she has achieved substantial legal and legislative victories for her firm’s clients in a broad range of cases and issues arising in Indian Country.
Ms. Karshmer’s experience involves representation of tribes and tribal organizations in Indian self-determination matters, self-governance, gaming, health law, water law, environmental issues, employment law, commercial and corporate matters, energy issues, jurisdictional conflicts, development of tribal constitutions and codes, and a wide variety of other matters involving tribes and tribal organizations.
